Sally's: New Leeds Albion Street Store

Today I went and had a quick poke about the new Sally store in Leeds, which opened for the first time this morning. I've never actually been in a Sally's before but I wanted to check out their nail polish offerings (which, for the uninitiated like me, includes China Glaze and OPI). The store is on Albion Street, just around the corner from Leeds Trinity, Boots and Superdrug (already a potentially dangerous wallet situation). It's a two-floor building, although I didn't venture past the ground floor this time. This isn't going to be an in-depth review, considering I was in the store for less than ten minutes, but I was happy I decided to visit! Here's some quick-fire ratings:

STAFF: A

Friendly without being overbearing (looking at you, Body Shop) - I was greeted when I walked in and asked if I needed any help, but then was left alone to browse when I said I was okay. Extra points go to the girl at the till for her amazing nails.

SELECTION: B

The store had a decent range of nail products, including polishes, nail art tools, stamping plates, nail wraps and more. The OPI range was particularly impressive, but I would have loved a few more China Glaze shades, as you don't often see them in-store in the UK.

PRICE: B

Obviously you always pay more in store. You could get most of the products for a few pounds less on Amazon or eBay, but it's not like they're robbing you (some products are better value than others, though). In the end, I just figured "why not?" and picked up my first ever bottle of Seche Vite top coat for £10.99 - a bit more expensive than Boots... but then again, I've never actually seen it stocked in Boots. You win today, Sally's!

OVERALL: B

It's a lovely store and will likely be a great addition to the Leeds City Centre shopping scene. Worth a visit if you get the chance!
